Classroom Training & Management Module
Often organisations use a blended learning approach for their training needs. This often involves “face to face” training provided by instructors in classrooms. “Face to face” training often involves different components such as e-learning, competency testing and assignments.
The “Classroom Training and Management” module in Armelenos allows Trainers to plan and schedule “face-to-face” training activities within an organisation, which makes it particularly useful if a blended learning approach is desired.
Classroom courses can be combined with the other types of learning content in Armelenos such as e-learning, competency tests, assignments, on-line documents, and on-line forums. This allows you to take advantage of all the different types of content stored in Armelenos when creating each course.
Any resources that are required for classroom training activities can also be reserved for each course. These are typically things like the physical classrooms where the training will take place, along with other teaching aids like slide projectors, whiteboards, and laptop computers. When a trainer books resources for a classroom session, Armelenos checks the database to ensure that they are available for the specified time.
Once the course has been created the Trainer then defines the number of classroom sessions that occur in the course, and then specifies the dates and times for these classroom sessions.
Learners are then able to register for any available courses they want to attend and can also view a list of the courses they have signed up for.
Armelenos checks when a Learner registers for a course to make sure that the date and times of its classroom sessions do not conflict with any other classes the Learner may be enrolled in. If a conflict occurs then the Learner is informed of the reason why, and they are prevented from registering for that course.
