Capability Framework
The Capability Framework module in Armelenos allows you to create a job skills repository and is the final piece in the jigsaw if you want to create a training environment that defines the specific training needs for each person in your organisation.
By associating the training you are providing with the required skills (referred to as capabilities) for the various job roles within your organisation, you can create personal learning paths for people and provide the necessary framework to ensure they achieve their training goals.
The reporting features of the Capability Framework module allow you to generate a list of candidates ranked in order of ability for job vacancies when they occur, and show the people within your organisation that have specific skills for projects when creating a team to complete them.
The Capability Framework module can also be used to document and assess peoples’ skills that are harder to define and measure but important for their job role. For example, you can add a capability for professional skills like “communication skills” or “leadership abilities”, and have managers enter a score for those people accordingly.
This allows you to combine the results from people’s assessment tests and training with their other qualities to ensure that all of the important skills required for a job role are taken into account.
The Capability Framework module also provides an opportunity for Learners to enter a self assessment of their own professional skills, (like “communication skills”). This self assessment can then be compared to their manager’s assessment of these same skills to highlight where differences in opinion occur concerning their abilities.
Features of the Capability Framework module include the ability to:
  • Associate training resources with skills and in turn job roles;
  • Document and assess professional skills for people;
  • Enter self assessments for professional skills by Learners;
  • Create personal learning paths for people;
  • Set pre-requisites for training content to ensure it is taken in the correct order;
  • Set dates and times for when training content is available;
  • Generate a list of candidates ranked in order of ability for job vacancies when they occur;
  • Search for and rank people with specific skills within your organisation;
  • Highlight where differences of opinion occur for professional skills between Learners and Managers.
