Assignment Management Module
Assignments are a good way to gauge the skill levels of Learners as they demonstrate their understanding of the subject being taught. Traditionally assignments are given to Learners by their instructors, and then manually submitted by Learners once they have been completed.
If there are many Learners, or they are geographically remote from the instructor then the logistics of this process can become unwieldy and time consuming. Any automation of this procedure allows the organisation to streamline this process between Learners and instructors.
This minimises the effort required by the instructor in issuing an assignment and reduces the time it takes for Learners to receive the results from their assignments.
The “Assignment Management” module in Armelenos allows organisations to set assignments for the Learners, which they download and complete.
An assignment could be reading a book and have the Learner write an essay about it, or documents can be provided that contain questions for Learners to answer.
When the Learner has completed the assignment, they upload the relevant files into the Armelenos system, which then notifies their Manager that the assignment requires marking.
The features in the “Assignment Management” module include the ability to:
- Create assignments for Learners that they access on-line;
- Allow geographically remote Learners to download assignments and upload completed assignments;
- Include reference documents for use by Learners in assignments;
- Specify the types of files Learners are allowed to upload for assignments;
- Allocate assignments globally to all Learners in Armelenos;
- Allocate assignments to individuals or groups of Learners in Armelenos;
- Receive automatic notification of assignments from Learners that require marking.
